History 
Our dental office occupies a renovated 1800's log-cabin. The original
chinking and logs can be seen on the exterior portion of the east side of the
office and inside the east patient waiting room. Each of these parts of the office can be viewed on the home page of this website. In addition, the operatory on
the south side of the building displays the original logs. The office has
undergone renovations in 1994 and 1996 to expand the number of operatories to
ten and to make the interior a modern state-of-the-art dental practice. The
renovation of the office continued the log-cabin theme on the exterior of the
building.
West Edge Development
Slated for the block southeast of the Plaza Dental Office is an exciting new $80 Million development that will include a mix of retail and restaurants, office space, and a small hotel. A new 900 space underground parking garage will also be constructed as part of the plan. Currently, low-rise apartments occupy the block roughly bounded by 48th Street, Roanoke Parkway, Belleview Avenue, and Ward Parkway.
The Bernstein-Rein Advertising Agency will be the anchor tenant for the 10 story office structure. Bernstein-Rein is currently located on Madison Avenue, just a few blocks north of their future location. Bernstein-Rein is the largest advertising company in the Kansas City area and was the company responsible for introducing the world-famous McDonald's Happy Meal promotion in 1976.
